Simonett & Young @ Trocaderos 7/17

Dave Simonett and Ryan Young, both of Trampled by Turtles, are a couple of busy guys. Check out previous entry for a small glimpse of the magnitude of TBT's touring schedule. Suffice it to say that these are committed musicians who love what they do and do it damn near as often as possible. Having played for a rowdy hometown Duluth crowd the night before, Dave and Ryan were back on stage in Minneapolis to help promote a brand new DVD by a brand new online music magazine, Midwest Jam. (midwestjam.com) Their official launch was just yesterday. The DVD has performances by a ton of phenomenal artists. Here are most of them:

The Big Wu
God Johnson
Hobo Nephews of Uncle Frank
Cornmeal
Railroad Earth
Tea Leaf Green
String Cheese Incident
Down Lo
Gypsyfoot
American Taxi
Trampled by Turtles
Everyone Orchestra
Fat Maw Rooney

So, obviously that's going to be pretty sweet.

Dave S. had a new song or two on display, to add to his ever growing collection of insightful and rockin' songs. They also played some TBT like "When I Come Back Again" and a great version of Bob Dylan's "She Belongs to Me". Here's Dave Simonett on guitar and Ryan Young on fiddle:
