American Idol : 3/1 Results Show

32 million votes were cast for the top tewnty, and tonight 4 of the contestants will go home. i could send ten of them home right now, but let's see who america wants to get rid of first.

we are treated to 'joy to the world' from the top twenty. i feel embarrassed for all of these people on stage. how ridiculous.

time for the good stuff. what this one hour results show is all about. two guys going home first. they're so devilish with the way they let people go, and nick is the first. after his lame jazzy rendition of 'fever' and a big group hug from the fellas, we have seen the last of him.

on to the ladies, and lindsey is the first of them to go, after singing 'not ready to make nice' last night. "everybody thats left, you guys sing your butts off!" she exclaims before realizing that shes far too choked up to sing.
this may be a first, she cannot even get close to hitting the notes, with all the emotion, so she calls her girls onstage to console her. halfway throught the song someone ges the rest of the girls to leave her alone midstage so she can finish the songs, tears and all. i wonder if the political nature of that song caused an anti lindsey backlash in red states and cost her some votes.

oh my lord, kellie picklers album, entitled of course 'small town girl' went gold?! what a travesty. advice for the contestants kellie? "have fun and be yourself. its gonna fly by. its a ball." she going on tour with brad paisley. wow, she 'co-wrote' the song, called 'i wonder'. fantastic lyrics like "i hear the waether's nice in california". all i'll say about her is that she sounds better than when she was on the show.

going home next is a.j. and sanjaya is 'shocked'. he thought he was going home. aj sings on american idol, the nina simone joint that didnt get him enough votes the other night. no big loss there in my book.

now one more young lady wll leave us and it'll be leslie. good.

four more to go until the top twelve. then it gets serious yo. the judges seem unhappy with americas rejects but i am satisfied.
