Dig this: apparently Ike and Tom Morello (the man behind that unmistakable powerful and raw guitar sound of rage against the machine) grew up together in Libertyville Illinois (ike was also in the same high school class as Chris Farley, according to one sexy fan who is in the know). They have played together on occasion for years and the two will embark on a brief tour together in July. Unfortunately the closest they will be to the 612 is Detroit, but us minnesotans can catch Ike with the Assassanation at the cabooze June 29th. says Morello, aka The Nightwatchman, of the upcoming shows:
"When two Illinois rogues hit the road together anything can happen, and anything will. We are on a mission. It's like a Woody Guthrie/Pete Seeger combo for the new millennium. Fathers, hide your Republican daughters."
Reilly adds, "Hide ALL of your daughters."
Hells yeah.
